You don’t have to live in a single family home to take advantage our to-your-door pick-up. Since 2002, we’ve been recycling kitchen and yard waste from multi-residential apartments, condos, stratas and co-ops. And composting your food scraps or yard waste could not be easier.

We provide our green 120L, 240L or 360L Schaefer™ wheeled totes, which we exchange with freshly-cleaned totes every pickup.  Pickup can be on any frequency that you choose: daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.  Some clients just choose to notify us when they need a pickup.  We can to be very flexible.

Multi-Unit Buildings can purchase 'Kitchen Catchers' from us at minimal cost.  These 'in-suite' containers can be used with Biobag™ compostable bags, or without.  We can sell you Biobags™ at wholesale prices for resale to residents, or direct your residents to retail stores in Victoria carrying the four sizes of Biobags™, including Lifestyle Markets on Douglas and all Thrifty Foods.

Shangri-La Estates – A case study

We rent three of our 240L wheeled totes to Shangri-La Estates at a cost of $9 per month each (monthly tote rental: $27 + tax).  Every second Tuesday, we arrive to exchange the three full totes with freshly-cleaned totes.  For each pickup, we charge $40 per pick-up of all three totes.  In months with two pickups, costs for pickup and tote rental: $80.00 + $27.00 = $107.00 + applicable taxes.

This progressive program allows Shangri-La Estates to divert approximately 540 kgs. each month.  Each year, that's the equivalent of two full-size dump trucks worth of resources that will be beneficially recycled locally, not buried at the CRD Hartland landfill.  What’s more, The CRD will be banning food waste from the landfill in 2012.

It is our mission to pioneer new recycling solutions for our clients.  Our cube vans with liftgates allow us to take a wider range of materials, and we can easily adapt to new necessities.  Services can be scheduled or on-call.*

  • Wood pallets - $7.50 each (volume discounts available)
  • Soft Plastics (colored/clear can be mixed)  - $5/bag. (35" x 50")
  • Fluorescent Light Tubes - $0.25/linear foot, $1.25/CFL Bulb
  • Gable-top Milk Cartons (bagged) - $5/bag (35" x 50")
  • Used Cooking Oil (use the container it originally came in). - $7.50/16L container
  • E-Waste: Used computers, TVs, monitors and peripherals.  We can take individual items, palletized loads or provide totes or bags for you to prepare your material for pick-up.  Minimum charge - $20 + GST.
