Waste = Resource

Almost any business can successfully create fewer discards by buying less, and therefore divert food discards from landfills.  Businesses with record-setting food diversion programs are recovering 50% to 100% of their food discards and reducing their overall solid waste by 33% to 85%.  But recovery of food and other organics is just one part of a successful overall waste reduction program. We also recover resources from soft plastics, fluorescent light tubes, used cooking oils, wood pallets and e-waste, including used computers, TVs, monitors and peripherals.

Moving your business to zero waste. In six easy steps.

This revolution runs on table scraps.

Food scraps (discards) are food preparation wastes and uneaten foods from,commercial establishments, institutions, and industries. They originate from restaurants, supermarkets, produce stands, school cafeterias, hospitals, food processors, farmers, hotels, prisons and employee lunch rooms. They include: outdated bread, wilted lettuce, vegetable peels, fruit pits, meat, bones, waxed cardboard and soiled paper.

By planning a program with us, your business can:

  1. Avoid garbage collection and disposal fees
  2. Recover the nutrient value of the food as compost
  3. Help your community meet local and province-wide waste reduction goals
  4. Offset greenhouse gas emissions
  5. Sustain local industries and jobs
  6. Create an improved public image for your business

Introducing the Styrofoam Densifier. It goes from dense to denser.

Our depot is undergoing a very small change. In the order of 50:1, as a matter of fact. Now styrofoam that would be taking up massive space in our landfill can become a small, densely compacted material ready for recycling. So bring it on. We’ll take all the styrofoam you’ve got.
We accept only #6 EPS type styrofoam.

$6/bag (bagged - 35”x50” equivalent)

$0.50/styrofoam fish box

Volume pricing is available.

Our new styrofoam densifier is always hungry, but there are some things it won’t eat. Click here to have a look at the gallery of things we can't accept, like styrofoam with paper labels or packing tape attached and low density polystyrene.
